Kari Lamae, born and raised in Hartford, CT. I’ve always been a lover of Arts. Not just painting but music and writing as well. I started Art and Rhymes in 2016 after attending an Art Show in Bronx, NY. I knew then that I wanted to create a platform for not only myself, but other Artists like me to showcase creativity! My first event was absolutely incredible, everyone was so supportive and that prompted me to start the Art and Rhymes Scholarship. I wanted to take the support that I was given and give it back in an amazing way. This scholarship goes to a CT High School senior who will pursue the Arts in college or in life. Since 2016, I have given the Scholarship to 4 high school seniors throughout CT from Hartford to Danbury. My goal for Art and Rhymes is to continue to grow, build an amazing team and branch out into other states and spread ART.
DANIELLE JULIUS

I’m Danielle Julius. I’m a Middle School Art teacher in CT. I received my BFA in painting from UConn in 2013. Aside from teaching art, I also create commissioned portraits for the people in my home town. I also enjoy working on my own art as well as exhibiting them in shows. Recently, my painting “I Am what I Am”won 1st place in a juried art exhibit for portraiture at Queenscity gallery located in Nyc.

I’m Jartistic, Peaceful J, I’m a portrait and landscape artist, muralist. Oil and acrylic are my mediums or choice. My inspirations are, Wolf Kahn, Henry Matisse and Wayne Thiebaud.
